Here’s what’s on the Yorkseed radar this week.

LAST WEEK IN YORKSEED - A Morning of AI in New York 🗽

Last week, we brought together a curated group of growth stage AI founders and accredited investors in New York City for an intimate breakfast roundtable hosted at Nixon Peabody LLP.

The conversation moved across the AI stack, from Physical AI and robotics to AI infrastructure, foundation models and AI applications, with founders and investors exchanging perspectives on product-market fit, enterprise adoption, fundraising, emerging opportunities and where capital is moving next.

We intentionally kept the room small. No pitches, no panels and no traditional networking mixer. Just one table, thoughtful conversations and people who were genuinely building and investing in the space.

A huge thank you to Nixon Peabody LLP, and to everyone who joined us and contributed to the conversation.

And this conversation is continuing. Next stop: Yorkseed Frontier Day at The Engine in Cambridge on September 17. 🤖

We’ve been a little quiet lately, but definitely not quiet behind the scenes.

This summer has been one of the busiest chapters Yorkseed has had so far. We launched Yorkseed House in New York, went even bigger in Paris, introduced Valois by Yorkseed, continued building Yorkseed Connect, and started going much deeper into Physical AI, robotics, Deep Tech and Frontier Tech.

But there’s a bigger update behind all of this:

Yorkseed itself has changed.

For those who have known Yorkseed primarily through our events, community and global hubs, there’s something important we want to clarify:

Yorkseed is not an event company.

Events are still a big part of what we do, and they probably always will be. They bring people together, create serendipity and turn online relationships into real ones. But events are now only one layer of what Yorkseed is building.

Over the last three years, we’ve evolved from a community and ecosystem operator into a multi-dimensional venture ecosystem connecting founders, investors, capital and opportunities across physical and digital environments.

So, what does Yorkseed look like today?

🌎 Yorkseed Network
Our global relationship layer, spanning 50+ hubs and connecting founders, investors, fund managers and ecosystem leaders across cities and markets.

🏠 Yorkseed House & Experiences
Our physical layer. We create temporary homes and curated experiences around major global technology and venture moments, bringing the Yorkseed ecosystem together in real life.

💻 Yorkseed Connect
Our technology layer and multi-dimensional venture platform, bringing together member discovery, Connection Intelligence, deal flow, diligence, warm introductions and venture intelligence.

🥂 Valois by Yorkseed
Our private capital layer for family offices, GPs, LPs, fund managers, institutional investors and other principals who allocate and manage capital at scale.

🤖 Yorkseed Frontier
Our growing focus on Physical AI, robotics, Deep Tech and the founders, investors, researchers and institutions building technologies that move intelligence beyond the screen and into the physical world.

And we’re already building what comes next.

💰 Yorkseed Capital | Next Phase
Our future capital arm, designed to extend Yorkseed beyond connecting founders and investors toward participating more directly in the capital ecosystem.

🚀 Yorkseed Venture Studio | Next Phase
Our venture-building layer, where we’ll work with selected founders and companies and leverage the Yorkseed ecosystem, network, infrastructure and talent to help build and grow new ventures.

These aren’t meant to become seven disconnected Yorkseed projects.

They are different dimensions of the same ecosystem.

Network + Technology + Capital + Venture Building + Experiences.

A founder might first discover Yorkseed through an event, become part of our network, use Connect to build relationships or raise capital, have an opportunity surfaced to relevant investors through Valois, or eventually build alongside the Venture Studio.

An investor might meet us through a Yorkseed House, discover companies through Connect, participate in Frontier, join a Valois gathering, or eventually invest alongside Yorkseed Capital.

That interconnectedness is what we’re building toward.

So where do events fit?

The events you see are not the end product.

They’re where the infrastructure comes to life.

Yorkseed House, Frontier Day, our roundtables, dinners, salons and global activations give people a reason to step out from behind LinkedIn profiles and actually build relationships.

Connect can then give those relationships context and continuity. Valois creates a more private environment for capital. Frontier brings together communities around specific emerging technologies. The next layers will allow us to participate even more directly in the companies and opportunities emerging from the ecosystem.

From a spreadsheet to here

It’s sometimes hard to believe that Yorkseed started with a side-event spreadsheet during SXSW and side joke that went viral in 2023.

Today, we’re building across 50+ global hubs, bringing Yorkseed House to major technology conferences, developing our own venture technology, building a private capital network, expanding into Frontier Tech, and preparing our next chapters in capital and venture building.

We’re still experimenting. We’re still learning. And we’re definitely still building.

But one principle hasn’t changed:

The right room can change the trajectory of a company, a fund, a career, or even a life.

Our job is to keep creating those rooms and, now, to build the infrastructure around them.

Welcome to the next chapter of Yorkseed. 🌱

🌍 Next Up: Yorkseed Frontier Day 🤖

On September 17, Yorkseed is heading to Cambridge for Yorkseed Frontier Day, bringing together founders, investors, researchers and industry leaders across Physical AI, robotics, Deep Tech, Digital AI and capital.

We’re excited to host Frontier Day at The Engine, created by MIT in 2016 and now a nonprofit incubator and accelerator supporting Tough Tech companies working to commercialize breakthrough science and engineering. Its ecosystem spans robotics, autonomous systems, AI, quantum, advanced manufacturing, biotech, climate and other frontier technologies, making it a natural home for Frontier Day.

We’re expecting a highly curated group of investors, founders, industry leaders and VIP guests, with company showcases, live demonstrations, curated founder and investor conversations, and opportunities to meet some of the people building and backing the next generation of technology.
